FlipFlop is designed for researchers, archivists, and professionals who need a simple, reliable way to document photo and document collections.

📖 Getting Started

1. Install on iPhone
   • FlipFlop is currently available for iPhone only.
2. Create a Collection
   • Tap the “+” to start a new collection.
   • Give it a name (e.g., Vacation 2023 or Archive Project).
3. Capture Flips & Flops
   • Flip = the front or main image.
   • Flop = the back, details, or supporting images.
   • FlipFlop automatically numbers and organizes them.
4. Add Notes
   • Attach context or notes to any flip or flop.
   • Notes are embedded directly in the image metadata (EXIF).
5. Enable AI (Optional)
   • Enter your OpenAI API key in Settings to unlock transcription and description features.
   • Customize prompts separately for flips and flops.
6. Export
   • Export as CSV (with metadata and notes) plus original JPEGs.
   • Access files anytime through the iOS Files app.

🤖 AI Features

• Flips (fronts) → detailed descriptions or captions.
• Flops (backs/details) → text or handwriting transcription.
• Requires internet to process, since data is sent securely to OpenAI.
• FlipFlop never sees or stores your API key or your images.

🔒 Privacy & Security

• Local-first: all images, notes, and metadata are always stored on your iPhone.
• AI optional: no data leaves your device unless you enable AI features.
